Plagiarism can also take many forms, a fact that leads many students to stumble into unintentional trouble. I can help you understand what plagiarism is, and teach you how to avoid it by conducting your research in an ethical and responsible manner. If you are unsure what an essay is supposed to look like, if you do not know a footnote from an endnote, or a bibliography from a title page, this is for you. I will work with you to ensure that you understand fully what is expected of you. I will make sure that you are not going to waste your time on unnecessary things, and I will make sure that you do the necessary things.

Essay Proofreading and Comments

Available to students of all disciplines. This is your opportunity to have your work proofread and checked for errors by an experienced professional author, historian, proofreader, and editor. I will find typos, check grammar and spelling, ensure that your essay is properly documented, and that your arguments make sense. This is an essential step to ensure that you are not exposed to accusations of plagiarism, that your essay is not going to lose marks for sloppiness, and that your arguments and analysis are lucid and robust. All essays submitted for proofreading will be returned with thorough comments and editorial suggestions.

Discussion of comments

The editorial process does not end with proofreading and comments, and I will be available for consultation and discussion of my comments for an additional fee. We can arrange a block of time to discuss your essay and my feedback.

Essay Proofreading and Comments

My fees are based strictly on word count. Please see the drop-down menu below for essay rates.

For dissertations and theses longer than 5000 words, I charge a very reasonable flat rate of $0.02 per word. If you are pressed for time, rush service is available for $0.0225 per word. Proofreading services normally involve a turnaround time of 3 days for work up to 40,000 words. When available, rush service offers 24-hour turnaround time.

Terms

Payments:

Payments are accepted via Interac email money transfer or PayPal. PayPal offers a wide range of options for payment including credit and debit cards. In-person services such as tutoring may also be paid for in cash, but personal cheques will not be accepted.
Payment for all services must be made in advance.

Cancellations:

24-hour notice is required to reschedule a booked service. Booked services are non-refundable although rescheduling with advance notice may be possible. Please do not book a consultation unless you are sure that you will be available!
